Basic Cup Washers

Basic or Standard Cup Washers have the sides of the cup or dish bent at roughly 90 degrees. Because of their shape, they can be used for the following: to cover bolts or nuts for safety or anti-tampering requirements; to compress insulation and sealant materials; as spring retainers; or even for decorating needs.

The important portions of a cup washer are different depending on the uses. The inside cup size, the outside, the height, and the material thickness are factors to consider when designing your part. They can be made from many materials including steel, brass, copper, and others.
