Common Special Washers
Willie Washer stocks many of the more common special shaped washers and stampings including:
- C-Shaped Washers – Washers that resemble the letter C. These washers are able to be inserted, removed or replaced without disassembling screws or bolts.
- Clipped OD Washers – Also known as weld washers, these washers have a flat edge on one side. The special shape allows them to be used in a variety of applications.
- D-Shaped ID Washers – These washers are made to be used with D-shaped shafts, rods, and mating parts. These washers are often utilized to modify spacing and alignment.
- Square Hole Washers – Also known as carriage bolt washers, these are used on square neck carriage bolts and square shafts. The square hole allows for a tighter fit compared to a round hole.
- Square Plate Washers – These washers have a square outside diameter. They are often utilized in heavy-duty applications due to their larger surface area.
- Tab / Pantleg Washers – These washers are designed to securely hold parts in place. The internal or external tab(s) can be bent over mating parts like bolts and nuts, to create a physical lock.
